Our capstone design was given to us by Microchip. The requirements for our capstone project will be given to us through our Faculty Mentor, Dr. Flikkema, and Microchip Inc. All the hardware and software was provided to us by Microchip, thus we do not have to devise our own design as it is predetermined. The main design aspect of our project is to code a JavaScript Interpreter using C wrapper files.
The team was given an ambitious goal to get WIFI functioning with the JavaScript Interpreter. The team was not able to accomplish this goal although, made important progress in other areas. In order to further progress the team needed the digitalRead( ) function to work which, was successfully implemented after numerous hours were spent researching within the Interpreter's source code. Once this function was working the team moved on to trying to get the GPIOs, ADC, and Buttons to work. The team made progress in attempting to get these functionalities working but in the end the team ran out of time to fully implement the functions.
